Our goal is to receive and administer gifts for the benefit of Weatherford Regional Hospital

The Weatherford Regional Hospital Foundation for years has promoted our mission, “to receive and administer gifts for the benefit of Weatherford Regional Hospital, a governmental organization, for the people of Weatherford and surrounding region and for other health care related purposes to provide high standards of quality care.”

Over the years activities in raising funds include golf tournaments, style shows, an art showing “Go Red for Hearts.” Speakers providing nutritional guidelines for better health, breast care mammograms, and memorials for Dr John and Shirley Huser, and letter campaigns.

We partner with Oklahoma Communities Foundation to invest and account for money that we raise and donate.

In August of 2021, a night golf tournament, “Light Up the Fairway”, was held at the Prairie West Golf Course in Weatherford where we raised a record amount of money.

October of 2022, we invited local doctors, nurses, and staff to introduce new physicians to Weatherford as well as, thank and support others.  We hosted a "Let's Paint out Cancer" to detect, treat and defeat cancer.

March of 2023, we donated a recumbent stepper and ultrasound table to the Weatherford Regional Hospital which was only possible due to generous donations and support of our events.

April of this year, we hosted a "Walk this Way" for a better life fashion show to promote awareness for Alzheimer's and support and promote local businesses.

A grant was submitted this year to the Devon Company that would potentially provide for a new nuclear camera for the hospital with a partial match by our Foundation.  Government compliance and by-laws have also been a focus for the board.

We have also partnered with Southwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation this year to establish a local scholarship fund to encourage and support nurses.

Our board members all have the same objective in mind which is to continue to help make Weatherford Regional Hospital the best, first choice and to support the staff so that they know that their job makes a big difference for Western Oklahoma.
